Huangling is a typical mountain village on the east line of Wuyuan. Local villagers have had the custom of using bamboo drying boards to dry crops since ancient times. Every harvest season, hundreds of scattered Hui-style houses in the sun and the colorful harvest fruits on the drying racks form a gorgeous "sunning autumn" landscape, which attracts many photographers to come here to shoot and create
The tourist season of Huangling is the autumn sunning season and the rapeseed season in late March. It takes about 3 hours to visit. You can take the cable car to go up the mountain. Of course, you can climb up by yourself if you have good physical strength. Of course, it is more recommended to take the cable car. You can overlook the layers of terraces in Huangling below. The yellow and green are intertwined, which feels pretty good
Since 2019, in order to extend the viewing period of Wuyuan rapeseed flowers, Huangling has cultivated the second phase of high-altitude terraced flower sea at Gaoling terraces with late-maturing varieties. The flowering period is extended to meet the wishes of more tourists to enjoy Wuyuan rapeseed flowers in April. The second phase of the flower sea faces the first phase of the flower sea across the mountain, overlapping and blooming. The terraced rapeseed sea is all over the mountains. Take the terraced cable car all the way up to directly feel the shocking time and space difference. Due to the large altitude difference, low temperature, and late-maturing rapeseed varieties, the second phase of the rapeseed sea blooms later. The flowering period of the second phase of the Huangling flower sea will last until early April.
Starting from the upper station of the cable car, walk through the four pavilions representing spring, summer, autumn, and winter on the trail and the Shuikou yew forest in turn, and come to the No. 1 viewing platform. The viewing platform is surrounded by layers of terraces, which are particularly beautiful when the flowers bloom in spring. Not far ahead is the Woyun Suspension Bridge, which lies across the valley and is more than 200 meters long. It is very spectacular. The stream under the bridge gurgles, and the breeze from the valley passes through the bridge. There are two transparent glass panels in the middle of the suspension bridge. You may as well stand on it to experience the feeling of flying in the air. Behind the suspension bridge is the No. 2 viewing platform. In addition to the terraces and flower fields where you can take photos, there are also new zipline and other experience projects nearby. If you are interested, you can go and have fun.
Return along the original route and visit the Huangling Ancient Village. This is the essence of the scenic area. The core of the ancient village is Tianjie, which has a petty-bourgeois style similar to Yandaixie Street and Lijiang Ancient Town, which is very suitable for taking photos in a fresh style. The iconic building on Tianjie is Tianjie Restaurant, where you can have a meal. The No. 3 viewing platform next to it is the viewing location in the village. The shops, teahouses, and wine shops on Tianjie are all in sight. Many "autumn sunning" blockbusters were taken here.
You can walk around the village at will, walk into the official hall, embroidery building and ancestral hall in the village. While feeling the vicissitudes of the old Hui-style house, don't forget to pay attention to the carvings in the details. From doors and windows to beams, the carved figures, flowers and birds, and scenery are all very exquisite. The cableway station and sightseeing station are not far from the ancient village. You can take it down the mountain after playing.
