We’ll meet at 9am at the Saphan Taksin Station before heading to a fresh market where we’ll sample roast duck with rice at a famous local restaurant over 100 years old! We’ll continue along Charoenkrung Road, picking up iconic street food like Thai milk tea, mataba (stuffed pancakes), Thai BBQ snacks, fresh fruit, papaya salad, and sticky rice.
After stuffing ourselves with delicious Thai snacks, we’ll explore the nearby side streets, weaving in between hidden Buddhist temples and small local communities. We’ll also admire colorful Bangkok street art along the way, in its many different forms.
Then, we’ll board a ferry across the river to Klong San Market. This riverside market, more popular with the locals than it is with foreigners, is a great place to roam and explore.
