Day 1: CUSCO to SANTA MARIA - Biking & Rafting (55 km)
Your adventure to Machu Picchu starts at 6:00 AM with a hotel pick-up in Cusco. You'll then drive for three hours through the Sacred Valley to Malaga Pass, the trek's highest point at 4,316 meters. The Inca Jungle Tour initiates here, where a local expert will guide you through the day and ensure you're aware of safety procedures for downhill biking. Equipped with a mountain bike and safety gear, you'll start your 3-hour downhill biking to Humanmarca, spanning 55 km. Along the ride, enjoy the breathtaking view of snow-capped peaks. A trailing minivan ensures safety, and those preferring not to bike can ride inside. Concluding the biking in Humanmarca, a 30-minute drive leads to Santa Maria for a traditional lunch. Post lunch, you can opt for river rafting (level III and IV) in the Urubamba River for an additional 100 Soles. Be informed that only those who can swim are allowed to raft as per local regulations.
Day 2: SANTA MARIA to SANTA TERESA - Trekking (23 km)

Enjoy a refreshing dip in the Cocalmayo Hot Springs to recharge. The day concludes with a brief trek to Santa Teresa for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: SANTA TERESA to AGUAS CALIENTES - Zip-lining & Trekking (16 km)
Your day starts with breakfast, after which you can opt for a zip-lining adventure (for an extra 100 Soles). Your main trek today is to Aguas Calientes, the gateway to Machu Picchu. A three-hour journey will lead you through the picturesque Aobamba Valley, reaching the Intihuana checkpoint. You'll break for lunch at HidroElectrica, a path offering magnificent views of waterfalls, Machu Picchu, and Huyana Picchu. Post-lunch, you'll follow the railway tracks for another three hours, journeying to Aguas Calientes. This scenic route offers insights into Hiram Bingham III's steps, the famed rediscoverer of Machu Picchu. As you trek, lush tropical jungles form the backdrop. On arriving at Aguas Calientes, relax in an ensuite hotel room. The town, named after its thermal springs, provides the perfect opportunity to soak and rejuvenate. Explore the cobblestone streets, shop for keepsakes, and in the evening, meet our local expert for a briefing on the next day's plans. Day 4: AGUAS CALIENTES to MACHU PICCHU to CUSCO
Your day starts early at 4:30 AM, with a trek from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu citadel. Here, choose either:
1. A hike surrounded by tropical vegetation up 1500 Inca steps.
2. A quick 20-minute bus ride to the citadel (additional USD 12).
Upon arrival, after clearing security and validating your passport against your entrance ticket, you'll be greeted by the breathtaking sight of the morning sun illuminating Machu Picchu, gradually revealed from behind the clouds. The next two hours are dedicated to exploring the citadel. Highlights include the main plaza, farming terraces' remains, royal quarters, ceremonial sites, and remnants of Inca temples. For the adventurous, if you've pre-booked tickets, you can embark on hikes to Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu mountain. Note that permits for these hikes are usually sold out months in advance. If not, you can take a 45-minute hike to the Sungate for a panoramic view of the citadel. No permits are needed for this, and it's a trail mainly used by those hiking the famous Inca Trail. Following your exploration, a bus will transport you back to Aguas Calientes. Here, enjoy some free time for lunch or shopping. In the evening, convene at the train station to board your journey to Ollantaytambo. Upon arrival, our representative will guide you for your final transfer back to Cusco, with an estimated arrival of 9:30 PM.
