【Kiyomizu Temple】 Kiyomizu Temple was founded in 778 and is famous for its marriage. It is the oldest temple in Kyoto. Since the Heian period, people have been coming to worship the "Kannon of Kiyomizu". 【Kinkaku-ji Temple】 The official name is Rokuon-ji Temple. Because the outer walls of the core building of the temple, the Sharidon, are all decorated with gold foil, it is nicknamed "Kinkaku-ji Temple". It is one of the world cultural heritage sites. The temple was built in 1397. Due to historical reasons, the ancient building has been burned down. The current building was rebuilt in 1955 in its original form. 【Arashiyama】 The Arashiyama area consists of two areas, Arashiyama and Sagano. This area not only has rich cultural attractions, but also natural scenery that changes with the seasons and retro trains. There are many ancient temples and shrines here. Tenryu-ji Temple is a world heritage-level monument. From Nonomiya Shrine to Okochi Sanso is a famous bamboo forest trail. As a holy place for cherry blossom and maple viewing, Arashiyama attracts a large number of tourists in spring and autumn. Tickets for the Sagano train are often hard to come by, while in winter and summer, it is very quiet, suitable for travelers who like quietness. There are many old restaurants, Japanese confectionery shops and cute grocery stores in the Arashiyama area. You can also rent kimonos and rickshaws. It is a very suitable place to slow down.
