- The exhibition is titled "Mingming Sea". The word "Mingming" first describes the living environment of silkworms, the drizzling and quiet atmosphere; at the same time, it also depicts the mystery, depth and vastness of the "sea". The twelve works on display cover a variety of forms such as installations, images and manuscripts. Through the tiny and vital medium of silkworms, they explore the vast and rich geographical and cultural landscape of the sea and evoke the collective memory and regional cultural identity of local audiences. - Among the twelve works, six are brand-new works "tailor-made" by the artist for this Shenzhen exhibition. They are also his exploration of the integration of silkworms and marine culture after silk and nature, silk and industry. These include two video works, "Painful History" and "Time", "Sunken Horizon", "Dark Light", "Mangyu" and "Four Waves", all of which reveal the relationship between social development and reform and opening up, spirit and nature, culture and faith, etc. - The 28-meter-long four-screen video installation "The Horizon" is one of the most eye-catching works in this exhibition. The heavy iron chain that appeared in "Chain: The Unbearable Lightness of Being" is hung horizontally in the exhibition hall this time, confronting the vast sea level in the projection. The silk that symbolizes the lifeline has become a sea light here, extending infinitely to both ends, and the artist also invites the audience to experience the tenacity and fragility of human life in a turbulent environment.
