Around 15:30 Shifen Waterfall
Shifen Waterfall is the largest curtain-shaped waterfall in Taiwan, with a width of 40m and a height difference of 20m. Watch as the towering rocks on the pier collide with the flowing water, creating white splashes. Seven or eight waterfalls line up from left to right, forming a curtain-like waterfall. Because of its resemblance to Niagara Falls, it is also known as the Niagara of Taiwan.
Very nostalgic town landscape (lanterns can be purchased locally at your own expense)
Shifen Old Street is parallel to the railway tracks, and you can enjoy the unique scenery of Taiwan's only train passing through the eaves. In addition, you can experience shopping while walking along the track. You can also write wishes on the lanterns to pray for yourself, family and friends (own expense). The kind shopkeeper will teach you how to place lanterns. We also recommend taking photos with the lanterns.
Jiufen Retro Street: Jiufen Old Street is the main street of Jiufen, full of shops. The narrow streets are lined with small shops of all walks of life. It is mainly composed of four streets "three horizontal and one vertical". The parallel roads are Jishan Street, Train Road, and Train Road, and the vertical road is Suqi Road, which runs through these three roads. Climb up the stairs, circle around and browse the eclectic shops of Jiufen on the hillside.
Amei Tea House (recommended location! Not included in the itinerary. Please feel free to go.)
It is said that Amei Tea House was inspired by Hayao Miyazaki's "Spirited Away", so it has the atmosphere of a Ghibli movie. The exterior building materials are all wood, it is a Japanese-style building, and the signboard is red. There is also a semi-outdoor seating area where you can enjoy the panoramic view of mountains and seas. This is a must-see attraction when you come to Jiufen. Take a break and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
Around 20:00, visit the Taiwan Tea Experience Center on Yongkang Street
The area around Yongkang Street is one of the favorite places for foreign tourists to taste Taiwanese delicacies. We have B-grade delicacies such as mango shaved ice, Din Tai Fung, beef noodles, and leek pancakes. Taiwan Black Tea Company is an 86-year-old tea factory located in Guanxi Township, Hsinchu County, which is also the center of Taiwanese tea culture. Cooperated with Sunmeri Sunmerry, the first Japanese-Chinese joint venture chain bakery, and developed the first mini pineapple cake with Guanmiao pineapple as raw material, which is very popular among customers as a souvenir.
